eBay Introduces Neighborhoods

eBay has a new feature called Neighborhoods where people can discuss their favorite products or type of products. It’s like Facebook only with a purpose. It’s shopping social networking. The link below is to the Jewelry Neighborhood if you want to see an example. What’s missing are widgets to embed on blogs and other sites. Perhaps they’ll add this next??

What a great idea for any busy e commerce site.

It Doesn’t Twitter, It’s Jaiku – Now By Google

You have to love these web site names. Boy what the lack of domain names will do to the English language. At any rate, Google has just purchased Jaiku, a Finnish “activity stream”/microblogging service similar to Twitter. This may help them better compete with Facebook and other social sites. Search Marketing and see high charges, chances are you were one of the many who were bit by the reporting software bug. Yahoo! is working on the fix, but check your credit card balance just in case.

Are You Getting Enough Content?

It’s been said over and over again, Content is King. I haven’t posted in a while, breaking my own rule. If you aren’t updating, editing, improving and adding new content to your site regularly, you are missing out on traffic that could result from the time invested. Here is an intro article on the topic to help refresh your memory.
