Google Local Search at Your Gas Station

Google Maps is coming soon to a gas station near you. Stop by for gas, get directions from a Google kiosk for free. Surprisingly, Google isn’t making money on this; at least not yet. But you can obtain coupons from local merchants. I would anticipate that Google has plans for making money on this venture down the road. What should you do about this? Make certain your Google local listing is accurate, especially your location on the map. (We had to adjust ours by about 20 miles because of a two year old zip code change that Google didn’t seem to know about.) Personally I still prefer stopping to ask a kind human.
