Google Desktop version 5
There is a new version of the bloatware program Google Desktop. For those of you who like all that information shoved to your desktop and have extra memory and system resources to spare, go for it. For those of us just trying to get work done, move on to the next entry in this blog.
While Google Desktop does have some redeeming features, there are other programs that do the same with less hassle (in my humble opinion). This would include Copernic Desktop which was the original big-time desktop search tool. There is still a free version.
